Community Wind: Upper Scioto Valley School

Mc Guffey, Ohio USA

Turbines stand tall providing power to the Upper Scioto Valley School District

The Upper Scioto Valley School District turbines were commissioned in September 2009. The two 100 kW turbines provide more than 33 percent of the schools' power. The turbines are the centerpiece of the USV Wind/Energy Academy Green Lab designed to be a "living laboratory" for renewable energy and other emerging clean technologies. The Academy will provide training for students, parents and the local community.
