Bolton Valley Becomes Vermont's First Ski Area to Install Wind Power

Bolton Valley is the first ski area in Vermont and only the second in the nation to utilize wind power from an on-site wind turbine. The Northwind 100 wind turbine will produce about 300,000 kilowatt hours per year, the equivalent of the electricity consumed by 40-to-45 Vermont homes. The turbine is located near the top of the Vista Quad lift.
